Located in a building that was a car repair shop in its past life, the decor retains the raw, industrial aesthetic with polished floors, exposed brick walls, and garage door bays that can be opened to let in a breeze when the weather is nice.
First and foremost a brewery, Lucky’s champion brewmaster Grant Johnston brews several exciting and diverse beers on-site. Have the bartender pour you several of their excellent choices like their Regent Street Wheat, Hoppy Go Lucky dry Pale Ale, 1313 Big Red Ale, Madtown Hops IPA, or their 5th Porter.
Pair your beer with one of Lucky’s tantalizing food options, like gourmet burgers, signature sandwiches, homemade pizza or flatbreads, and plenty of delicious entrées like the country-fried steak or grilled lemon pepper salmon.
If you are in the mood for something lighter, try one of Lucky’s shareable appetizers like their nachos, Wisconsin cheese curds, or giant Bavarian soft pretzels served with Lucky’s own beer cheese sauce and homemade honey mustard.
Lucky’s 1313 Brew Pub is an excellent spot on game day, conveniently located nearby to Camp Randall. Stop in before or after game time for a beer and some food, or stay and watch the game on one of their many TVs. They also offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from Lucky’s to the Kohl Center for many UW games and WIAA State meets.
